What RF Testing Covers
RF, or radio frequency, is the wireless part of your home’s electromagnetic environment: Wi-Fi routers, cell signals, smart meters, Bluetooth devices, baby monitors and whatever your neighbors are broadcasting through the walls. It is non-ionizing, it is everywhere, and almost no home has ever had it measured.
We measure RF room by room with the Safe and Sound Pro 2, a professional-grade, calibrated RF analyzer capable of detecting signals consumer meters miss. Readings are reported as power density in microwatts per square meter (µW/m²), the unit used by the Building Biology SBM-2015 guidelines, and we state the unit with every reading. Unit confusion is the most common blunder in this industry: many US meters read in µW/cm², and 1 µW/cm² equals 10,000 µW/m². A number without its unit is meaningless.
