Calibrated, instrument-based measurement of your home’s electromagnetic environment, from a local specialist based in Old Town Fort Collins.
Measured Locally, Explained Plainly
If you have been searching for EMF testing near you in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor or Greeley, this is what we do every week. FieldWise EMF Consulting is based at 301 Remington St in Old Town Fort Collins, and founder Cameron Castaneda performs every assessment personally, with professional-grade calibrated instruments.
Every measurement is compared against Building Biology SBM-2015 guidelines, the precautionary framework focused on sleeping areas, and documented in The FieldWise Home Profile: a written, room-by-room report with scores, findings and prioritized next steps. The goal is not elimination, but intentional optimization.
Wi-Fi routers, cell signals, smart meters, Bluetooth devices and neighboring sources, measured room by room as power density.
Instrument: Safe and Sound Pro 2 RF analyzerFields created by current flow: wiring errors, electrical panels, appliances and nearby power lines. These penetrate walls, so measuring is the only way to know.
Instrument: Gigahertz Solutions NFA1000, 3-axisFields from voltage on energized wiring, present even when nothing is switched on. They matter most where you spend hours at close range: the bed.
Instrument: Gigahertz Solutions NFA1000High-frequency transients riding on your building wiring from dimmers, LED drivers and inverters, plus light spectrum, brightness and flicker in the circadian assessment.
Instrument: UPRtek MK350N spectrometer (light)All of these are non-ionizing fields. We state the unit with every reading, and nothing we report is designed to alarm you.
The Process
We start with a walkthrough of your home to identify bedrooms, workspaces and high-use living areas, so measurements focus where they matter most.
Each field type is measured with the calibrated instrument built for it, room by room, with readings explained in plain language as we go.
You receive The FieldWise Home Profile: room-by-room scores, SBM-2015 comparisons and prioritized, practical next steps. Most improvements come from distance, placement and settings, not products.
Service Area
Based in Fort Collins, serving the Northern Colorado Front Range and beyond. Appointments are available daily from 8am to 8pm, and most assessments are scheduled within the week.
Common Questions
What does EMF testing cost in Fort Collins?
Assessments start at $350 for the Foundational Assessment, a 60–90 minute in-home visit focused on RF exposure. The comprehensive Home Health Optimization assessment, covering RF, magnetic and electric fields, dirty electricity and lighting, is $850. Full details are on our services page.
What exactly do you measure?
Four distinct field types: RF from wireless sources like Wi-Fi, cell signals and smart meters; AC magnetic fields from current flow in wiring, panels and nearby power lines; AC electric fields from energized wiring, reported in volts per meter (V/m), which matter most around the bed; and dirty electricity, the high-frequency transients riding on building wiring. The Circadian & Light Assessment adds light spectrum, brightness and flicker.
How long does a visit take?
The Foundational and Circadian & Light assessments typically run 60–90 minutes. The Home Health Optimization assessment runs 90–120 minutes. Findings are explained as we go, and everything is documented in your written report.
Do you serve Loveland, Windsor and Greeley?
Yes. FieldWise is based in Old Town Fort Collins and serves all of Northern Colorado, including Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, the Denver metro area and the I-70 mountain corridor.
Is EMF testing a medical or diagnostic service?
No. We make no medical claims and cannot diagnose or treat any condition. We measure what is present in your home, compare it against precautionary Building Biology SBM-2015 guidelines, and give you practical, prioritized reduction steps.
