RF Exposure Assessment

Foundational RF Assessment for Fort Collins Homes

Radio frequency signals measured room by room, with real numbers and practical next steps for your Fort Collins or Northern Colorado home.

Foundational Assessment

The Signals You Can’t See, Measured

Wireless signals are a constant presence in modern homes, yet almost none of them have ever been measured. This assessment changes that. You get a clear, objective picture of RF exposure throughout your living space: where it’s coming from, where it concentrates, and what practical steps can meaningfully reduce it.

The signals you can’t see are rarely the ones you think to check.

Using the Safe and Sound Pro 2 RF analyzer, a professional-grade, calibrated instrument capable of detecting signals invisible to consumer meters, we measure Wi-Fi, smart meters, neighboring signals, and connected devices throughout your home. Clients often find that simply knowing what’s there, and where it’s highest, is enough to make meaningful, confident changes.

Readings are reported as power density in microwatts per square meter (µW/m²), the unit used by the Building Biology SBM-2015 guidelines, and we state the unit with every reading. RF falls off with distance roughly by the inverse-square law: double your distance from a router and exposure drops by about 75 percent, so most meaningful reductions come from placement, distance and settings rather than products.

The goal is not elimination, but intentional optimization.

What’s Measured

  • RF levels in bedrooms and primary living areas
  • Router placement and signal reach
  • Device density and proximity patterns
  • Neighboring and external signal sources

What’s Received

  • Clear explanation of findings
  • Practical placement and device adjustments
  • Prioritized next steps
  • The FieldWise Home Profile, your personalized written report covering every measured domain: room-by-room scores, SBM-2015 comparisons, findings, and prioritized next steps

Founder Cameron Castaneda performs every assessment personally.

Common Questions

Foundational Assessment Questions, Answered

What does the Foundational Assessment measure?

Radio frequency exposure throughout your home: Wi-Fi routers, cellular signals, smart meters, Bluetooth devices and neighboring sources. We measure room by room with the Safe and Sound Pro 2 and report power density in microwatts per square meter (µW/m²), the unit used by the Building Biology SBM-2015 guidelines.

Are the levels in my home dangerous?

We don’t label homes safe or dangerous, and we make no medical claims. Measured residential levels are almost always well within FCC public exposure limits. FieldWise works to the far stricter precautionary Building Biology SBM-2015 targets, with sleeping areas first, and gives you practical reduction steps.

What actually reduces RF exposure?

Distance and placement do most of the work. RF falls off with distance roughly by the inverse-square law, so doubling your distance from a source like a router cuts exposure by about 75 percent. Most of our recommendations are placement, distance and settings changes, not products.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

The Foundational Assessment runs 60 to 90 minutes in your home and is $350. You receive The FieldWise Home Profile with room-by-room scores, SBM-2015 comparisons and prioritized next steps.
