The light you live under, measured room by room, with real numbers and practical next steps to align your Fort Collins or Northern Colorado home with natural daily rhythms.
Circadian & Light Assessment
Light is one of the strongest cues your body reads for time of day, yet most homes are lit the same way from morning to midnight. This assessment measures the light you actually live under and shows where it aligns with natural daily rhythms and where a few practical adjustments would help.
The signals you can’t see are rarely the ones you think to check, and light is one of them.
Using the UPRtek MK350N spectrometer, a professional-grade, calibrated instrument, we measure the spectrum, color temperature, flicker and intensity of the light in each room, then review it against the natural pattern of bright, cool daylight and dim, warm evening light. Modern LED and screen lighting is often bright, blue-rich and flickers in ways the eye does not consciously notice, so clients are frequently surprised by what the readings show.
Readings are reported in plain units you can act on: intensity in lux, color temperature in Kelvin (K), flicker as a percentage and frequency in hertz (Hz), and blue-light content, and we state the unit with every reading. Most meaningful changes come from bulb choice, placement, dimming and timing rather than expensive equipment.
The goal is not elimination, but intentional optimization.

Common Questions
What does the Circadian & Light Assessment measure?
The lighting environment in your home: light spectrum, blue-light content, color temperature in Kelvin (K), flicker in percentage and hertz (Hz), and intensity in lux. We measure room by room with the UPRtek MK350N spectrometer and review how the light you live under aligns with the natural pattern of bright, cool daylight and dim, warm evening light.
What kind of changes does it usually lead to?
Most recommendations are about bulb choice, fixture placement, dimming and timing rather than expensive equipment. Common examples are warmer, lower-flicker bulbs in bedrooms, brighter and cooler light in daytime work areas, and simple evening habits. The goal is intentional optimization of the light already in your home, not a full replacement.
Do I have to buy products?
No. FieldWise doesn’t sell lighting or take product commissions. Many changes cost nothing because they’re placement, dimming and timing adjustments. Where a bulb swap makes sense, you receive plain guidance on what to look for so you can choose your own.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
The Circadian & Light Assessment runs 60 to 90 minutes in your home and is $350. You receive The FieldWise Home Profile with room-by-room lighting notes and prioritized next steps.
